The Atlantic Ensemble was formed in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 2004, and is comprised of Wei Tsun Chang, violin; Seanad Dunigan Chang, viola; Kirsten Cassel Greer, cello; and Jennifer McGuire, piano. The Atlantic Ensemble has performed throughout the United States, and Europe. They are dedicated to commissioning and performing new works by American composers, and are committed to teaching the next generation of young musicians. Composers such as Lawrence Dillon, Charles Ruggiero, Michael Kurek, Greg Danner, Michael Slayton, Stan Link, and Michael Rothkopf have written for the Atlantic Ensemble. In September 2012 they gave the World Premiere of Lawrence Dillon's "Saturn Dreams of Mercury" at Tennessee Tech University. The Atlantic Ensemble made their New York debut at Symphony Space in March 2014, and they returned to that venue in March 2015, where they premiered pieces by Michael Slayton, Greg Danner and Stan Link. In March 2016, they performed at the Tenri Cultural Center in New York. In May 2016, The Atlantic Ensemble made their English debut in Malvern (Edward Elgar's hometown), and then went on to perform at the American Cathedral and L'Église Saint Merry in Paris, France.
